A Regency drum table

A Regency brass-mounted mahogany and parcel-ebonized library table with four working drawers and four simulated drawers, a very rare base made of four c-scrolled legs meeting at a central pillar with brass rosettes, the reeded legs terminating in brass caps with brass casters.
The drum table was virtually a fixture in the English country house library. It had several uses in that it could serve as a dining table and work table.
