A satinwood and mahogany lady’s secretary circa 1785 having a super structure with shelves and
side doors inlaid with oval mahogany veneers, having a tambour top writing enclosure that opens on
pulling out the small drawer. The base has two drawers over tambour door enclosed shelves, the
whole resting on turned legs ending in casters. The piece is inlaid with stringing throughout and the
shelf of the base has extraordinary ribbon inlay.
