Jacob Freres Chair
A French walnut side chair by Jacob Freres stamped with the royal cipher of Napoleon dating circa 1805 made for the Tuileries, the residence of Napoleon and Josephine. There is information an inventory number stamped on the inside of the rails. The provenance of the chair is superb. The right front leg is replaced with beechwood stained to look like walnut. Ht. 34.5", Seat ht. 17.75", W. 18.25", D. 20"
