Pair of Victorian Occasional Tables
An unusual pair of Victorian specimen wood parquetry occasional tables by Ralph Turnbull (1788-1865) who emigrated from Scotland to Jamaica in 1815. This pair of tables demonstrate Turnbull's fascination with Caribbean timbers. The tops are set on carved trestle bases made up of c-scrolls and s-scrolls with a carved stretcher, the legs of carved scrolls. Jamaican circa 1850. Ht. 28.25", W. 27.75", D. 20"
